Hello Barry and welcome to the board  :)
Thanks for adding information on the beautiful vases.  It's interesting and much appreciated to us collectors to see the actual makers commenting on the pieces discussed here,  and to have extra information.

What a very pleasing surprise. I'd forgotten the thread (along with too much else!), so it was brilliant to find that you had dropped by Barry.

Thanks for the comments about your work.

Hope all is well with you.

Kind wishes, Nigel

The piece you are referring to is a closed neck form in two tone coloured and was made in my studio in Fulham and is signed Barry Cullen and has a stock number after 1983 and a gallery piece not for the market stall at Covent Garden.
This is a simpler piece than the Price of Oil.  I was doing a series of closed neck forms to do with optics and colour.
Its nice to see it again thank you.

Thank you all for your welcome and generosity.   I was very touched by all your responses and overwhelmed by it all.  I still live in the U.K. not far from London.

Dear Mike
Its one of a series no more then 4 pieces in that colour, one was engraved by Madeleine Dingle for Don Knight sadly no longer with us.
Its nice to see the old work turning up, I did wonder if any survived

Thank you.

Thanks Barry !

I really feel very lucky to have found it ! It's so striking , I haven't ever seen glass looking so pink !

What was the engraved design on Madeleine's piece ? Are you still blowing glass at the moment ?

Cheers, Mike.

I'll lay odds on Flying-free is desperate to know about the engraved one too. ;)

I'm not fond of pink or white; and especially not together - but this piece stands out - it is artistically powerful enough to overcome any "sweetieness" and I do like it, very much.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)
