« on: November 06, 2008, 03:39:55 PM »
Hello again to all members, another mystery bowl which needs some feedback at all please? It is very much like the Brockwitz bowls that I have seen but this one is a lot flatter and wider and I have never seen in this amythest colour before! It is also stamped Deutschland underneath.Does anyone recognise this at all.Thankyou for your time.Nige

What a gorgeous piece. Yes it is Brockwitz. It's in my copy of their 1941 catalogue, shown as a Fruitdish and with the number 9073a. Yours seems to be a touch flatter than the piece shown in the catalogue.

Hi Glen, thanks for your input.I know what you mean this is definately flatter then the regular ones-I have the regular ones in blue and green and my mum has a pink one.I do find Brockwitz a bit weird and wonderful I love them! I do have their amber draped lady and thistle bowl and also the blue lady.I was a bit flummoxed as I have never seen Brockwitz pieces in this amythest before it is a lovely colour!

I haven't seen this beautiful colour from Brockwitz either. Hopefully someone else will comment and add more info.

By the way, I should note that one of my large Brockwitz bowls (a blue Lion handled bowl) is also marked Deutschland.
