Scandinavian (?) Oddities
« on: March 19, 2009, 12:33:53 PM »
Please help me to identify two mystery vases that have a Scandinavian look to them.  The clear one is a heavy double bud vase with two blob-like chambers.  I was hoping it is an Iittala or other Finnish vase, but it has no signature, initials or other markings.  The cased vase has a vintage Swedish look, but is inscribed on bottom, "Matt 2 Pat July 2003."  Who would put a new signature on a vintage vase?  Unless it's a new vase produced by "Matt" just a few years ago?  Odd signature for an extremely high quality (in my opinion) piece.
Thanks,
Charles.

Hello Charles, I'm no expert, just a dabbler but I cannot see  that these are Scandinavian in any way.  Sorry, :(

Charles:

The one on the right looks like some modern Czech Republic pieces I've seen. They've usually had bit more colour.
