Hello,

This also has the appearance of Akro Agate and is similar to some of the items they made.

I found the ashtray shape here:

http://akro.tripod.com/all.htm

I think the other piece is there also......

I also inadvertently identified a set of glasses I have had for years, clear glass with clear green marble feet. Never seen them before when I bought them at a yard sale for a couple of bucks, and I have never seen them since....   Until tonight

Turns out they are unusual Akro Agate glasses!!!

We've had a few items over the years Christine, a search brings up a page of results. :)  Angela added a page about Akro to the Glass Encyclopedia a while ago too:

For Fun....   Here is the Akro Agate glass that I identified.....  I have a set of 4. They are 4.25 high and 3.25 wide at the mouth. Thought they were mid century when I bought them, but based on company history they are most likely pre WW2, as the company had financial difficulties after WW2 and stopped production by 1949. They then sold existing inventory until they closed in 1951.

The green feet are fused to the body....

I am like you Anne, The more I learn, the more I realize I do not know.......
