Is this a Bimini figurine ?
« on: July 31, 2009, 02:24:39 PM »
I stumbled upon this forum and am happy to be here.

I was told this is a Bimini figurine ? It measures 1" in diameter at the base x 3" high. The black spots is mold and the ribbon wrapped around the waist is attached to a box.

ZBS or Lauscha - definitely nor Bimini. This is not bad news, I think.

So what you guys are saying this is by Lauscha, I am a bit naive, who or what is Lauscha and/or SBZ glass. I want to learn!

ZBS = Zeleznobrodska sklo, glasswork in North Bohemia, Czechoslovakia (Czech republic now)
Lauscha = glassworks in Thueringen, Germany

Age is difficult as the same designs can continue for a long time, value is nominal, I would buy it as long as it was very cheap.
