Job lot of glass, any good bits?
« on: August 26, 2009, 12:50:45 PM »
Hello All,

I was lucky enough to come across this selection of glass which will be sold in a local charity shop. I was wondering if any bits were better than average quality ( ie worth more than £5 ) that i should try and sell separately on Ebay to boost the profits! I will list them on separate threads ( I am not asking for valuations, please just an idea of age or if any of the bits have anything interesting about them )
First is this set of 4  ice cream dishes, they look old, but any expert opinion would be most appreciated. ;)
cheers in advance, David

These look very like some dishes that my parents had more than fifty years ago!  As I remember, pressed glass, came with a saucer, and probably made in the 30s.
