How big is it? Standard factory mould blown production though, from that rim.

Just a glass I think, modern and could be from anyway. France is always one contender for modern drinking glasses

kimanded and Pain

Do you have many glass books?  That's really what you need...and it will stop you wasting money on glass that perhaps isn't worth it and give you knowledge to ferret out those special pieces of art-glass that we all love.  ;)

I know that collecting glass is like an addiction (see my shed containing my mistakes for details!) but it really is best to learn as much as possible before you buy.

Maybe you both do have lots of glass book, but if you don't, simply start a thread in the Cafe Forum telling us what sort of glass you like and we will happily make suggestions of appropriate books for you.  :D

If you would like a look at our general much-loved book list, you can find it here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/board,20.0.html

Also, learn as much as you can about how it is made. Knowledge of the complexity of the processes will tell you a lot about the quality of workmanship of a piece.

Hi Max - no I dont. I have had one book recommended to me and my beloved father is on the lookout for me over in England.  I have asked the OH for some books too but meanwhile I am just purchasing what catches my eye be it right or wrong  ;D
