SIA is Scandinavian.

Where do you get all your glass, Keith? Do you sell it?

SIA is rather a large organisation and anything that carries their label will have been made in volume and introduced to the market at a very affordable price.

That makes sense. I had seen SIA vases called Scandinavian, but had not been able to find the company. Now I question whether my SIA vase is indeed Scandinavian.

I hesitated saying the SIA home decor company because of the messy cracked off pontil...bit odd on a medium range, mass produced item, isn't it?   ...you don't think someone stuck that sticker over it because it was sharp do you?  ::just a thought:::

Ok,thanks to all the replies,so it's a Swedish company, they control a large part of the ice-cream market I just found out,the label's been there for some time, don't think it was put on to hide the poor finish,in response to TxSilver,I get my glass from local retailers and visits to London and keep everything so need a bigger house to put it all in(don't only collect glass, bit of a hoarder)Keith.

SIA only seems to design (like Ikea and LSA); there is no mention of manufacture. You vase is likely Eastern European or Chinese.

My SIA vase has a really messy base, so it may be the norm for them.

Your local retailers handle some very good glass, Keith. Some of the pieces you have bought have been very good ones. Traveling to London explains why. I live in the heart of Texas, so most things around here come from Walmart, which means made in China. (I'm not talking about your vase, just the things I find around here.)

I would expect other possible countries of manufacture to include India, Thailand, Indonesia, Phillipines
