Whitefriars flint vase???
« on: October 27, 2009, 04:21:26 PM »
Hi everyone

Saw this in the charity shop and thought I'd better bring it home, just in case. Only cost £1.00
Does anyone want to make my day?

It is by Ravenhead, used to be thought to be made by Royale Castle, but has since been seen boxed made by Ravenhead.  Always on ebay described as Whitefriars.  Comes in a few other colours too.

Hi Pauline when you have a spare day go to Huntercombe Manor near Nettlebed or Henley you can learn so much about Whitefriars . Willie or Harvey will answer most if not all of your questions and you will have a nice day in beautiful countryside and see more W/Fs and Powell than you have  ever drempt about . PS if you tell Harvey i sent you their maybe a nice glass of Claret . No not for me but for you . ;D ::)

That's really nice of you - I have scoured the Whitefriars . com website may times, but to see lots of their glass in the flesh, so to speak, would be great. Is that Henley upon Thames, I'm only 20  minutes from there?
