Have a go looking at http://www.beranekglass.com/ as it looks as though theres a good chance of it coming from that neck of the woods.

Otis, have seen your vases identical twin in my mums front room!!! I cant tell you where its made as hers has no marks or stickers on it, but i can tell you that it was bought only a few months ago in TK MAX, so my guess would also be Chinese, but I would add that, in her window with the light shining through it, for £20 its a nice bit of glass
David

Hi Mike,  I have looked at those sites and Wow!  They are certainly gorgeous pieces.  I have already got my eye on a few and can't wait to get my hands on them.

Hi David.  I find it very hard to comprehend that your vase was brought for that amount, was that new?  It is without question a most beautiful vase and yes there is every possibility that it was made by the Chinese, but I am sure someone has got their pricing wrong.  My vase is modern but a lot older and was passed down.  How old, I am not too sure but there is conclusive evidence of a lot of wear to the base. This maybe of course be due to the shear weight. Dragged rather than lifted.   :24: Has your vase got the same spiral effect on the base?  The reason why I ask, is that I have not been able to find one similar for a long time now.  Could you sneakily snap some pics of your mums and post?  ;).    Thanks all for your info. appreciated.

Kind Regard - Chaz
