Help Needed with Amber Glass Vase
« on: January 16, 2010, 11:40:54 AM »
I am hoping someone can help identify this vase for me - it is 21 cms tall and 13cms diameter. It is quite heavy, and the frosted panels are very distinctive.

thanks in advance
auliya

Hello auliya and welcome to the board. I can tell from your email address that you're in Australia too.

No absolute answers on this vase, but it's often found in Australia, and in weight and that selective frit/enamel of the alternate panels means that it very much resembles the art deco output of the Crown Crystal Glass Co from the mid-30s to the war. So there is a fair chance that it is Australian, unless someone can find it on Pamela's site or Marcus' disk... Sorry that it isn't a definitive answer, but sometimes the information isn't available.

Sorry for the late reply - I've just come back from a holiday.
