Thank you John for your earlier link and to others who have made suggestions. It does have similarities to the vase pictured... my one is very heavy and quite thick glass. I saw a Whitefriars vase on Christies website which was what I thought at the time a similar colour, described as 'midnight blue', which is why I had it listed as Whitefriars, which I have since changed.

The Whitefriars catalogues should always be your first port of call when making Whitefriars attributions:

If the design is clearly post-1940s and it's not in the linked-to catalogues then it's almost certainly not Whitefriars. Very few verifiable 'anomalies' exist.
