looks like phoenician malta then lettering and 93, 93 being the date made, i would imagine the lettering is the initials of the person who made it ??

The letters could be a designated order number, a design number or initials - I honestly don't know. Just chucking in a couple of alternatives rather than plumping straight for them being an artist's or designer's initials.

I know that Mdina used numbers written on small wide rectangular paper labels to designate an order for somebody, so there is a possibility this was done here, as it is an offshoot of Mdina.

Very pretty piece. I am still firmly of the opinion that Phoenecian glass is highly under-rated.

I agree sue and Andy, I have a few pieces in my collection, and a friend has a tall vase similar to the decanter seen in this thread. Some of there stuff is absolutly stunning and can be picked up so cheaply, i think its one for the future.
