GREY SMOKED VASE
« on: February 21, 2010, 01:55:15 AM »
The vase is rather small but large in diameter.  The vase measures at highest point 15cm and the lowest 10.8cm.  The dia. at top is approx. 13cm and the bottom is 9.2cm.  The vase is quite thick measuring approx. 0.5cm, and is smooth on the inside and slightly textured on the outside.  There is a rim around the base of the vase that measures 1.3cm in width.  The inner of the rim looks machined.  Can anyone identify please.  Many thanks.

Can't ID it but i must admit there are a few of these around and they look like recent production with not much quality to them. I wonder if they are soap holders or something?

I think these are made in Spain from recycled glass. I have a plate somewhere in the same sort of style.

I have seen a lot recently with white swirls and in various sizes and shapes. Not much quality to them.

Could be mistaken for this Kosta Boda vase 'Mine' designed by Ulrica Hydman Vallien, her initials pressed on the base are a bit of a pointer though. ;D

Hi
I do have a white huge bowl with this decoration on it (or very similar) which I bought about 5 years ago in TK Maxx and it has a label on stating Made in Italy.
See pics below.

Hi Flyingfree,  They do look similar to the pattern on your pictures, but somehow still not convinced that mine too are Murano.  I will just have to look a bit more, hopefully something will come up.  Thanks to you and the rest for your interest though.

Hi all,  i have been told by a friend that it could be Kosta Boda.  I will have to look into that as I appear to be no closer in identifying this vase.  Thanks for your support though.
