MYSTERY GLASS CHARGER
« on: February 23, 2010, 03:24:51 PM »
Hello everyone
Many Many years since I have been here due to changes in personal circumstances but now I am back I hope to be able to contribute & help out where I can.
In the meantime I wonder if anyone can help with this mystery item which I have had for about 10 years and never really been able to identify. My gut feeling is its French but take that with a pinch of salt!
It is a huge charger measuring 14" in diameter. It is of green frosted glass although the centre panel is clear glass (the colour is only from the background I took the pic against)
The centre clear glass panel has a pattern of leaves and I guess berries, this pattern is continued around the outside rim.
I am open to any suggestions....as long as it doesnt match my wifes (throw it away)
Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome back to the board. Your photos are not showing up too well on that background - could you do some on a plain white background as that will help determine the colour and pattern better.

Hello again
As suggested by moderator I have re-taken pics against a white background. It doesnt show on the pics but the main body (green) of the plate is frosted on the reverse in typical Art Deco fashion.
