Hartley Wood vase?
« on: July 25, 2010, 09:25:13 PM »
Any thoughts? Uneven rim - bubbles in the glass. 8.5" high quite heavy. Orange with reddy pink swirls. Raised base with a rough snapped off pontil mark. Oh and it's got a internal crack in the base
thanks Chris

Yes its Hartley Wood. Looks like an early piece which are much heavier than the later ones. The earlier ones also tended to be lopsided as the idea was simply to create vases from their beautiful stained and swirled glass.

Nice find.
