« on: July 26, 2010, 02:54:56 PM »
Hi, i recently purchased this crackle vase because I thought it looked quite good quality but I know nothing about them! It is 7" tall and has a well finished polished pontil. Any info about the age and maker would be appreciated, thx in advance.

I had a green one of these, yonks and yonks ago, I did ask about it here, nobody knew anything about it. (Back in the days of just one board for all messages, and no cafe). They're pretty common. I kept my spare clothes pegs in it for a few years, then gave it to a charity shop in a clean-out 'cos I didn't think it was of any interest.......
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

They are pretty common, so no tears.

Hi, thx for that. I haven't got the book, Skelcher Big Book of Vaseline Glass but would this then be accurate to describe as Stevens & Williams at all?

Not as the company became Brierley in the 1930s and this style post dates that.
