Can anyone verify the ID I have for this platter.

The platter is quite large c.35cms diameter.  The decoration is on the bottom of the rim - very smart you cant get food bits in the grooves.  As you can see the signature "Veramé" is part of the decrative frieze.  I have recently seen on Google that this may mean "Verriers aux Metz".   I am hoping that someone over there (12000miles away form Melbourne) may be able to verify that attribution - or else give me a likely alternative.

I Googled 'Verame' and came up with this:

(perhaps I should have Searched here first!   ::))

Maybe that link will be a little help?

Thanks for that Max - that signature from the German site looks very convincing to me.
