Jack in the pulpit vase
« on: August 16, 2010, 03:29:12 PM »
Hello all
I know this is vague so dont jump down my throat please, at my local fine art auction this week is a Jack in the pulpit vase that has to be at least a metre tall with a nine inch bottom,as its in the fine art sale I dont imagine it to be Debenhams for example, do any of you lads and ladies have any ideas? tips on what marks to look for, I have not been able to get a closer look at it yet as its not on show until next week.

Thanks Steve

 :ha:

L.C.T. would be good. The initials need to have their tops towards the centre of the base. (I just discovered this today)
Just joking, sorry. An idea of the design and colours in the glass would be a big help, as would your rough geographical location on the planet.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

In my mind, I am imagining one of those metre high probably  :or: vases which pop up all over the place, often with a white inner.

...kind of almost more fun to have a guess without seeing the photo!  ;D

I saw an extremely large Jack in a local antique mall and it was indicated to be from Russia.  :vkg:

If it's the thing next to the awful Italian lamp, China looks a good bet.
