Blue basket vase
« on: August 20, 2010, 05:29:09 PM »
Hi all,
Picked this up today and was hoping for some help with ID and age. It is approx. 10 inches tall and 6 inches at the widest point. The label is gold and silver not the pinky colour shown in photo. (The blurred photo of the label is more accurate for colour)
Many thanks
Hil :)

It's probably unidentifiable beyond Murano. I also suggest your label is faded red on faded gold in reality.

I agree with Christine on this. My opinion on the date would be mid 60's onwards for it. I must say, I really hate this label, i find it worse than the 'Geniune Venetian Glass' label for trying to date pieces.

Wayne, those three handled basket things in the second row are Murano; I've got one, so when I saw another one with a label I had a good look at the generic label.
