????? lamp base for Borske Sklo Olives hood
« on: September 06, 2010, 06:49:02 PM »
I'd like to see the (presumably) metal body that partners this small hood - in fact I would also like to own the lower half :)   Will someone please point me in the right direction to find an illustration, which will no doubt be in a Borske catalogue for the late 1950's - 1960's.  The height of the hood is 115mm/4.5 inches.   All replies appreciated, and my thanks for looking. :)

Sorry, just realized I'm probably showing the hood upside down :-[

That's okay. Standing on one's head is said to be invigorating, but it just made me dizzy ;)

Looking from up or down, this piece is not Borské sklo and not Czech/Czechoslovakian origin

Perhaps german then. Moulded designs were e.g. made by Joska and Horhusen glassworks. The colour wouldn´t be
unusual for german 60´s glass either.

Ha, Ha, It's easy to create - Google upside down text (you can also do back to front).  You go to a web site - type what you want into the box and then copy the text where-ever you fancy.  IME you can't do some capital letters though.

ɥƃnoɥʇ sɹǝʇʇǝl lɐʇıdɐɔ ǝɯos op ʇ,uɐɔ noʎ ƎWI  ˙ʎɔuɐɟ noʎ ɹǝʌǝ-ǝɹǝɥʍ ʇxǝʇ ǝɥʇ ʎdoɔ uǝɥʇ puɐ xoq ǝɥʇ oʇuı ʇuɐʍ noʎ ʇɐɥʍ ǝdʎʇ - ǝʇıs qǝʍ ɐ oʇ oƃ noʎ  ˙(ʇuoɹɟ oʇ ʞɔɐq op oslɐ uɐɔ noʎ) ʇxǝʇ uʍop ǝpısdn ǝlƃooפ - ǝʇɐǝɹɔ oʇ ʎsɐǝ s,ʇI 'ɐH 'ɐH

In explanation I understand that it maps the letters you type to system generated font shapes that any PC should be able to reproduce.
