Irice is an North American importer that sourced a lot of its older products from Japan, amongst other places.

The "mirror-like" finish on the bottle rules out Mdina or Isle of Wight Studio Glass.

It is quite distinctive, and should help to narrow down a maker. It's not John Ditchfiled either, label wrong shape - his are round and gold. Can't help more than that i'm afraid.

I've just dug out my copy of Mark Hill's Mdina book and it shows the rectangular black and white label with gold around the edges.

Where?

Sorry, I should have specified where.  It's on page 133 (Michael Harris:Mdina Glass & Isle of Wight Studio Glass by Mark Hill).

Iain, I see two labels neither have any gold on them. The top label is stained a little yellow around the edges but it is not gold and never was. Let's not start yet another internet myth, there is already enough misinformation in circulation repeated ad infinitum.
