He is not highly valued in Holland - we were the main target of his exports for the past 20 years and as a result every flea market stall has a piece of Jablonski. I could start a collection on a budget - but I won't.

 :24:

I was trying to put it 'gently'...

By the way, here in Poland, tourists are the main buyers of Jabłoński glass due to the 'high' prices... This I know straight from the mouth of the owner of Kraków's main Polish glass shop.

Great replies, thanks!  To be honest this one is prettier than the sample photos I saw currently for sale but still I don't think I will start a collection either.  Space for vases is rather limited.

i wonder what you call that stuff near the bottom of the vase -- as I am trying to google words, and I do not know what (or how to explain) the description of it.....any ideas.

I do think they are pretty too.....yours, and my (no-name one yet) too.

 ;)

Rose, I think after looking at your vase again, the signature is a quick and sloppy AJ 2004.  I think your vase is their # JW023 Adam Jablonski Art Glass Vase in mauve or brown or whatever color yours is (I'm a bit color deficient)... online stores describe it as:

Art Glass Vase- approx 10" tall w/ wavy top;  Rose (or whatever color) with frosted base with purple (or whatever color) ribbon.
24% lead crystal
Signed by artist

I still don't think we should assume Rose's vase is Jabłoński, despite the strong similarities.  The engraving is completely wrong.  I cannot see an A or a J, plus Jabłoński Glassworks would not put a date on such a 'common' piece.
