It's a wonder any labels survive when they are slapped on with so little thought!  A label like that just screams to be picked off!  Thank goodness the owners of this weight had the foresight (or something) to leave it in place.  Whitefriars weights seemed to have a lot of labels in inconvenient places.

Thanks for putting this up I too have a green weight - which I only knew as Webb.  Being modern I assumed it was not the English Webb but a German Webb glass firm I remember finding on Google.  Nice to know it is the real thing.

Ross, please note that Webb Corbett was a different company to others with "Webb" in the name. Just in case you thought it might be tied in with Thomas Webb etc. :)
