Topic: (Unknown) - Iridescent, Applied Decorations

I got this and I am hoping  :X: that I lucked out on this one.  I am not sure who make it, but it is Pretty.  It is clear with some *Gold* iridescent near the top half of the vase (is it a vase, or one of those things for starting a Plant in it???).  There are 4 applied decorations on it.  The top rim appears to be polished, IMHO.  There seems to be a light Gold there too.  The base seems to show good wear on the bottom.  About 5.25 inches high.  I think the ropes are a bit more *green* than in the Photos.....Imho

I can not find anything as I do not know where to start.  IF I had to guess Kralik, but I am still learning there.  Stueban ??  Bohemian ??

I really have no idea -- but I do think it has some good quality, and therefore  :X: good maker.

Any ideas on Maker, year, or any info at all?  No matter, it is a keeper for Me.

But I'm serious. You know, one of those bowls where you just put the rose blossom (no stem) in it and it floats around.

I just thought had good wear, and pretty applied thing-a-bobs.  I might try to take some different pics tomorrow in some different light.  Can you see the Gold at the top part of it -- going down a little ways.  Not flecks, chips....almost like a light dusting of Gold.  Very light.

It doesn't strike me as Czech but I could be wrong. And it's not a rose bowl; a rose bowl curves in but does not flare out again. Test those blue stripes with your UV light Rose.

Hi Lustroussone.  Yes it does have some glow.  

Not real bright, bright -- but about the same as this Czech Piece here had for glow.   HERE- Reply #27 in that post so see what I mean...

~ the Gold haze (gold dust)  in the glass
~ Rim loooks cut, and polished (to me ??)
~ and the Size of it.  Might it be a little big for a Rose Bowl?  as see my Hand in the Pic

Anyhow, see if these extra Pics help any.   :X: :X:  Always worth a shot. Does have very good bottom rim wear, if that helps  :thud:

i can set you straight on rose bowl. It is a rose bowl only if the thing is curved inward. As soon as it has an outward neck or a collar, it is no longer a rose bowl but a vase. Rose bowls were used for keeping dried roses on the mantle piece, not for floating damaged flowers.
