$63.00 Art Glass Lamp -- Murano ???
« on: April 13, 2011, 11:51:47 PM »
 :hi: and  :X: :X:

I just got these and I am hoping that they are Murano Glass Lamps.  Found a Pair, with shades.  Looks like Murano to me.  The Colors are Pink with bubbles and (of course) silver flecks of foil inside them.

Did I do OK?  I am  :X:  that I lucked out!!!

Base is on Brushed Brass looking base.  One the end of the cords has the real old brown round end to it.  I have not searched to much yet, just gave them a wipe down and took the pics as I was Soo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Excited to find these  :chky: :chky: :chky:

Any ideas on the Maker, the year -- and I do hope that they are  :X: Murano !!!!

Will post some more pics after of the shades, and the cord end....and anything I can see on them.  Some Pics with flash, and without flash...I think they are from the 60's era...

Thanks   :kissy:

Look Murano to me. But I'm keeping the secret about who did them.  :P

Just kidding. I don't know who did them. Maybe Barovier?? They are beautiful. I know you're going to enjoy your lighting a lot more now.

Rose I love those bases they are on as well - really gorgeous pieces.  I take it you have looked on the Swank lighting site?  They have some lovely pieces.

 :hi: and still  :chky:

I hope you do not mind IF I post more pics -- as it is not everyday one gets to hold, and examine so closely something like this.  Plus it helps to date (I hope) and figure out maybe who made them. These are the shades that came with them, so I am *assuming* that they might be the original ones -- but unsure ???

Yes, I am still excited -- and Voila, they WORK...

Here are some more pics...

Congratulations, Rose!
Normally not my cup of tea, but these are in fact beautiful!

Now, as they have arrived safe and sound, would you consider to delete the earlier pictures, if they weren't yours? Just a thought  :sm:

Die Erfahrung lehrt, dass, wer auf irgendeinem Gebiet zu sammeln anfängt, eine Wandlung in seiner Seele anheben spürt. Er wird ein freudiger Mensch, den eine tiefere Teilnahme erfüllt, und ein offeneres Verständnis für die Dinge dieser Welt bewegt seine Seele.
Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding moves his soul.

Hi there:
All the Pictures are Mine, I did not use anyone Photos.  All photos taken here, and Posted on Site are Mine.   Some with a White back ground, and some on the Floor. Nope all my pictures.  I did not use anyones pics at all.

That is why I posted in the Cafe I had a Secret, as I wanted to say about it, and point you to *their pics* but I did not.  I waited till they arrived here yesterday.

All photos are taken by me in my home.... :-\  I am the Photographer of all Pics !
