Kev, so would all pulled feathered items have this curious 'shadow' around the threads then?  I thought that was a similarity that I haven't seen in other pulled/feathered items but perhaps that's just because it doesn't show up that well.

Thanks anyway m for the interest and effort in trying to identify the paperweight  :sun:
 I think there are similarities and can see where you were coming from with a possible connection, will hang on to it and see if any positive comments come from the Scandinavian section link.
