Could this be Whitefriars?
« on: April 17, 2011, 07:10:10 AM »
I bought this thinking that it was  by Whitefriars, but having compared with others now not convinced. Bubbles appear elongated around top and rim does not look level, also slots appear a bit uneven. The polished out pontil mark is also not as circular as I would have expected. It appears to be in a cased blue. 4 1/2 inches diameter.

I am not a Whitefriars expert but I cant remember an ashtray with that type of rim.  The bubbles look a little too crude for WF and most Scandinavian pieces I have seen.
