Hi All,
I bought this wee vase today for pennies at the boot sale today thinking it would sit well with my other Czech vases, Its not particularly well made but has a bit of style about it and I was wondering if anyone could ID it. It is 6.25" high and has a dished base, 4 pressed lines and a random blobby design. Thanks in advance.

Hi David,

Pretty sure this is the same as in Marks Hills book, Hi Sklo Lo Sklo. Hermanova Glassworks 'Dragons Head' vase no20235 designed by Frantisek Peceny and produced from 1972. Comes in 3 sizes, think yours is the smallest of the three.

Hi Greg, Thanks for the very quick response, I really will have to get Mr Hills book! Well that's 25p well spent. I love the clear glass Czech pieces wish I could find some every week.
Cheers, David :sc:

This is one of the worst/best thing about any collecting, but especially it seems with glass, you get the odd bit and before you know it your on a mission. Great shot of the 2 vases together John.

Good luck, I have seen a couple in the medium size but I don't think I have ever seen the largest version.
