Help ID two colorful glass birds please
« on: April 25, 2011, 04:11:37 PM »
These two birds appear to be from the same artisan. They are very pretty and exotic looking but I can find no others like them anywhere, though they seem reminiscent of Murano, it is doubtful that they are of that brand. There is no identifying marks. Only the "spud" mark underneath where the piece was held while worked. They were dated as given as a gift in 1983. They measure about 11" long, and 7" tall. The wings on both have some slight impression to give feather texture. The feet are what appears to be steel wire set into the body of the birds.
Any ideas or leads would be appreciated.
