Hi Pinky, and welcome!  :hi:
I was starting to think I was seeing things!!
You are doing pretty fine.....
Actually, I don't possess a single piece of Whitefriars glass....not even a Dilly Duck!
I only see these things because I have Glass duck in the favourite search engine on eBay, so when they come up, I see them, and can recognise a wrongly attributed one.
Interestingly, the seller knows it isn't a Whitefriars duck, because I messaged him, so I assume he told the buyer??!
There is another one on eBay at the moment, the same shape with grotty bubbles......I told that seller as well!! Sometimes I think they really do believe they are Whitefriars, other times I think they are trying it on?

My main collecting thing is glass birds and animals.....got about 600 now, but must downsize the collection or get a bigger house!

hi, everyone
Thanks nemmie for welcoming me to the board.
sorry I don't know who pinky speedy is,but she has got a great name!!!
I have 5 sky blue ducks thanks for asking, I am trying to fill up my window sill with sky blues, such a lovely colour.
If anyone wants to sell me sky blue number 6 let me know!
I am also up for swaps.
I started collecting whitefriars animals since october, Now have 69 ducks in total, What inspired me to collecting was every weekend I would go out to the lake to feed the ducks, which i loved. one day i came home and was looking on ebay when i saw a glass duck, and thought wow he is stunning I bought him then i was hooked. I love ducks and I love beautiful colours so whitefriars ducks were a perfect match for me. now whenever i see a whitefriars duck i like, i just have to have it, even if it does leave me broke most of the time. financially poor but rich in ducks lol.

Hi agani Pinky  :hi:

That's a lot od Dilly Ducks!!  Interestingly, I started with ducks as well....Selkirk Ducks....same reason...the form and colour.  I am trying to collect one of each size in each colour.....then got sidetracked by birds and animals......but am still on the lookout for more Selkirk Ducks....selling duplicates to buy different ones.  Why don't you put a picture of your collection of Ducks on the 'Show me yours and I'll show you mine thread?  We would all love to see them.

WOW !!!!
What a wonderful collection of ducks you have already and in so little time too!
Share with us please the secret of your success, amazed you have managed to amass 5 sky blues in such a short time you must be a very clever young lady indeed.
Love the bit of how you got  hooked on collecting in the first place such a heart warming story and so refreshing particularly  in these days of the  'dog eat dog' methods a lot of collectors seem to have adopted these days.
Has someone who as grafted for 12 years scouring the carboots, charity shops antique fairs the length and breadth of the country and never even seen one I am well impressed well done.
