Made by Daum (see etched mark) - I believe designed by Michael Daum - this clear glass bird stands 6.5" high

Any ideea of date

On page 134/155 of the book Daum, dans les Musees de Nancy (ISBN 2 901 408036) there is a group of five animals shown, one is similar and described as a squatting gosling (though not an exact match).  A design date of 1950 is given for the whole group.

Mention is also made of a 'bestiary' containing all sorts of animals in crystal.
