I think this is Murano. It weighs just under 3kg, is 8 1/2ins tall, 4 1/4ins at its widest, 2ins across the top and 3 1/4ins across the base. I think the base is the widest end and that has significant signs of age wear (surface scratches). There is a hole in the base that leads to an elongated cavity. Both ends are polished flat and the frosted body has polished "windows" on either side through which the blue and amber banding can be seen. There are bubbles within the glass but they don't appear to be particualrly controlled. I haven't been able to find anything like this, doubt it is a lampbase but wonder if it is a bookend or simply a sculptural piece. Any advice on likely/ possible maker would be appreciated. Many thanks.
