In an email reply Will Shakspeare confirmed that this is one of his vases and that it was made in around 1995. ;D

Nice piece of glass when i first saw the pictures i was thinking nailsea or wrockwardine wood type bottle glass from 19th century untill i saw the base pictures then realised it was more recent production has a lot of character that vase nice one.

I wondered about that too until I got my hands on it, then I realised the making was just a bit too complicated for that. You're right, it does have character. ;D
