Good question, Alan.
I know that Bernard C. has, in the past, given some information on this, but I keep forgetting where that was. And because I can never remember the ALT codes, I normally use Symbols characters cut and pasted from a documented. But ...
I am not sure if Operating System & Browser Type have an effect, but trying the basics as shown in "Accented Marks and Diacriticals" in such as
this starr.net page, I found that ALT + <code> works for me ...
ALT + 0224 = à ALT + 0225 = á ALT + 0226 = â ALT + 0227 = ã ALT + 0228 = ä ALT + 0229 = å ALT + 0230 = æ ALT + 0231 = ç ALT + 0232 = è ALT + 0233 = é ALT + 0234 = ê ALT + 0235 = ë ALT + 0236 = ì ALT + 0237 = í ALT + 0238 = î ALT 0239 = ï ... and so on.
Must remember to suggest that this, or something similar, is added to the Board Help and Guidelines. Or maybe there is an easier way? I will check with Anne, our resident Tech Wizard:)
