Neodymium Cylinder Vase with Brown / White Swirl
« on: August 12, 2011, 05:00:47 PM »
I've had this one for quite a while but so far haven't been able to identify the mark.
The body is neodymium; quite a lot of striations with various swirls of opaque white and brown.
Impressed prunt type mark on the base, to hide the pontil scar. It's a "V" in a stylised vase shape; on the third photo, I've redrawn it so it's clearer as to how it looks.

Height 14cm; diameter 7.5cm

Many thanks for any help.

Maybe a silly question (but that has never stopped me), definitely a vase rather than a tumbler?

It could quite possibly be a tumbler; it's light enough and an acceptable size.

I asked because it has a vague passing resemblance to some current Kosta Boda production, I was thinking of 'Mine' by Ulrica Hydman-Vallien (that V you see...). But it is not in their current catalogue and the prunt is not quite right either.

Prunt on the Mines is quite different, as you say John. My pair of mini Mines are here for comparison:
