Well, in my experience trust your judgement based on all your senses. Most things I've bought off ebay are a disappointment even when they are the real thing. I will be posting some suspect ebay purchases in due course.

So, like with the object in question. Even if it isn't Czech, it is a nice unusual piece. It is quality no matter where it came from. One thing I am learning by participating on these boards is that quality isn't only from Murano (I now know about Empoli), Bohemia, etc. There are wonderful things from China (Taiwan and PRC), Japan ... and that not everything from Scandinavia is good.

I do want to thank everyone for their continued contributions to this thread (and all my others). It really is a wealth of knowledge and everyone has been so helpful.
