Murano Perfume Bottle?
« on: September 20, 2011, 09:16:33 PM »
Hello all,

Recently bought this piece that was sold as a perfume bottle, although I do prefer it without the stopper.

What I was wondering if indeed it could be Murano and if indeed it is a perfume bottle?

The metal piece that is suppose to be the stopper looks pretty old, where as the bottle itself looks to be mid 20th century.

Any advice is more than welcome.

Thanks in advance,

rob

Here it is without the stopper...

Here it is with the stopper...

Forgot to mention that is 4.5 inches, 11.5 cm.

The stopper looks totally inappropriate IMHO.

Looks right for a snuff bottle, including the stopper.

So if indeed it is a snuff bottle, would that make it earlier than mid 20th century Ivo?
