Hi. Can anyone confirm for me if I am on the right track in guessing these are Italian? They stand 8 3/4" tall and weigh 14 ozs each. Thank you!

These look like molded air twist candlesticks to me. My first guess would not be Venetian. I hope some of our British or American glass people will have an idea.

Correct - not very likely Venetian. These are very high quality and it takes a skilled glassworks to make air twist like that. Names that spring up are Holmegaard, Steuben, Leerdam and Villeroy&Boch - just as a starter, there may be others...

Thank you all. Any suggestions on how to further find out the maker? Should I change the title here? Put it under a different category? Any help is much appreciated.

Should you draw a blank, eventually, with an attribution for these, you may care to try the V. & A. in London.    They advise there is usually a variable waiting time for their replies, but are reliable, and can be contacted on   Ceramics and Glass Collection <ceramicsandglass AT vam DOT ac DOT uk>;    of course, they don't guarantee a successful attribution, bu you never know. :)
