another chinese copy......or a real one?
« on: November 25, 2011, 09:07:19 AM »
morning everyone

This cased chunk of glass came my way recently and despite some research I am unable to pin it down, does anyone recognise it ....or is it another dreaded chinese copy?

There is some age related wear to the base which is ground and from what I can gather from its history it has been around awhile before it came my way.

Weighs over 2.3 kg and is 21 cm tall

any thoughts?

thanks

Chinese is probably the answer, but I wouldn't say it was a copy of anything. Not all Chinese glass is copies and it's not all new
