I've seen many of these around for the past 2-3 years on eBay, but I've never known who made them. I think they are interesting and very contemporary. When I first saw them -- I think it was a cow -- I wondered if the cycle of life was the theme. Now I think of it along the lines of boat in a bottle. (How do they do that, anyway?)

I like these, especially the dachshund.  I wonder if it would be possible to do a kind of Russian doll type of piece - or would that be asking too much?  (Doll within a doll within a doll etc.)

The russian doll piece is a good idea...indifferent colours for each piece would look really good.

Not sure how they made these but they are done very well. I quite liked the dog one. It could be a combination of both the cycle of life and the ship on the bottle theme...
