new 'spatter' glass vase - LSA label
« on: December 04, 2011, 10:22:24 PM »
Description for future reference when link disappears - this is a bulbous vase, nice shape in my opinion, in uncoloured frosted glass with multicoloured spatters from the base to third of the way up ish.  It is labelled as LSA.  I'm sure no one is going to be confused with older or vintage spatter glass pieces, but I just thought I would post it here as I occasionally see these unlabelled and wonder where they are from.  I recently bought a gorgeous Romanian vase that has a vaguely similar effect although much more muted and appealing (imho), so I wonder if that is possibly where these might be made.

Found this http://mintportal.bvdep.com/MintPortal-DJKKCIFIFIFIJICIAIGI.urk - looks like it may be Czech in origin.

Also http://www.lsa-international.com/  both by simply Googling.  "Salex+glass' and "LSA+glass" respectively.

Note "fait main" means made by hand in French I think so maybe this one was sourced in France.
