I know some of these are Scandinavian & in the U.S. Viking & later Dalzell-Viking made these flat block character/animal bookends for years with just about every subject matter you could hope for.

You don't like glass animals!!  Helga!  Wash your mouth out with carbolic soap!!

It is beautiful......tell me when you are selling it....or else!!  If I can find out the maker,  I will let you know straight away.

Oh and have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year. :fc: :pty:

haha...well, I like this one very much, if I see others that are similar I am sure I will like them to!

I wish I could sell stuff, but it seems that shipping from Iceland is so costly that I would have to price things out of proportion..yikes.

Thanks and a  happy yuletide to you!

Helga

The finish looks very Boda to me. Does anyone have the link to the huge Kosta Boda zoo collection that is online? I have lost it, moving from one computer to another.

Thanks all,

Interesting, I dont see my cat in that collection, it seems to differ from the Kosta animals in that its whole surface is hammered or..what is it called..non smooth? Even the base is not smooth
Mine seems a little bit thicker too, but thats hard to tell without measuring.

cheers!'

Hi,  I have the Lisa Larson one...picked it up in a charity shop a few weeks ago.....not the same as yours Helga....here is a link to one (not in English, but I used it to identify mine because it has a label!!) Royal Krona is the maker.
http://www.axelhouse.net/royal%20krona%20lisa%20larson%20cat.html

And another Lisa Larson link

I will keep working on yours for you.
