odd ball base bud vase with inclusions

this is completely different from the Swedish bubbly bud vases I have. It is a very heavy, short brown form with shapeless white spots in it . It has a 3" ball diameter, and is 5 1/2" tall. Does anyone have a clue where it may have come from?
