They look vaguely familiar but I can't think why...  I'll have a browse after work and see if I've anything that might pin them down.

Are you sure it's pressed? Can you find any evidence of mould seams?
The wiggly bits look as if they were applied hot to me.

no I am not sure at all, the only thing that could be a seam is a ring around the bottom part..but i think thats something else?

thanks

can you go into close-up mode Helga, and provide a picture showing the join where the 'decoration' meets the outside of the bowl.     If hot worked i.e. applied separately, then it should be noticable that these columns/supports are not exactly at one with the bowl (almost an inset crack where the two parts meet).          If the whole thing is pressed in one go, then it is probable there will be very small radiused curve where the decoration meets the bowl.      Seams can, apparently, be removed by skillful workers, as Lustrousstone has told me before.                       Sorry, but I haven't the remotest clue as to provenance. :)

my humble opinion would be that this entire piece was pressed in one go.

Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding moves his soul.
