Art glass pulled feather vase signed Luster art L209. TIA!
« on: February 03, 2012, 11:25:55 PM »
Hi everyone!   :hi:  I found this pretty little vase but haven't been able to confirm the ID.  It is small at 3 1/2 inches in height and signed on the bottom Luster Art L209.  I found a company on the internet called Luster or Lustre Art (spelled both ways so I am not sure which is correct) that was apparently founded by family and artists that worked at Quezal.  Any info at all on this cute little vase would be great.  thanks and have a great weekend!   ;)

Thanks Ross.  I posted a thread on the eBay PG & P board and someone else also suggested that it might be by Carl Radke.  All of his pieces were signed with with some variation of Charles Radke or Phoenix Glass but I could not find any signed like mine Luster Art.  Here is a link to the eBay thread if anyone would like to take a look.  Thanks again Ross!   :)

I found this bit of info "The Lustre Art Glass Company began at Maspeth, Long Island, in 1920 by T. Conrad Vahlsing and Paul Frank. Ex-employees at Quezal, their business only survived a few years into the 1920's." on an auction site

Thanks Christine.  :)  I also found that info but I have been unable to confirm if my vase is by that company.
