This is a fabulous piece if glass squizoid! 
Bearing in mind your location,  could it be Fern Fronds rather than bird footprints? 
I absolutely love it and have seen nothing like it before.....could it have been made as a set of tile borders, say for a bathroom?
These are only guesses and await other peoples ideas with relish. And will look as well, of course.
