Hi. I believe this is called overshot glass, am I correct? The plate measures 8" in diameter. The base is ground and polished. Is there any info anyone can give me? Thanks very much!

I've not seen anything like it but you could try searching Brides Bowl maybe?  that might throw up some similar items.  Pretty bowl.
