Thanks. I'd never have got that from the etched mark.

Although I did think - 'It's a bit like Sevres'. Thanks to an ebayer who provided a brief guide to buying and collecting Art Vannes, I know a little more:
"Because the ART Vannes FRANCE furnaces were in operation only from 1950 to 1970, these gorgeous pieces are considered quite a special find". (ebayer shopitamerica).

The question is, are all pieces marked? I bough this one with 2 others that are unmarked. I will photograph and post new enquiry.

Finally, as usual it would be great if a MOD could now mark this as = Art Vannes France.

Vannes-le-Chatel is still in operation - try googling sèvres, daum and CFC.
