Topic: Question about sheringham candle sticks.

Hi  I have two Wedgwood Sheringham candlesticks, a pink with two rings and a green with one ring. My question is are all Sheringhams the same except number of rings as these two are distinctly different. The pink one has a smooth top rim and the green is much flatter. The pink rings are quite a bit thicker than the greenrings. Neither are marked on the bottom. Could one or both be copies or are there differences in production?   Can anybody throw any light on these for me please.    Regards Cheryl.

They were hand made and there is quite a bit of variation in the finer details.  Some are marked others are not. They were quite complicated little beasties to make, your green stick was put together from five separate sections (bowl/ stem/ring/stem/foot).

They both look right to me, I have quite a number of them in varying sizes. Even the matched pairs vary slightly in thickness of rings etc.
The "pink" colour is actually called Topaz.

Thank you so much for the replies, its a big relief to know they are not copies.  We like these a lot so another space needed on the already over stuffed shelves!!!     cheryl
